How often are Peer Counseling Meetings?

Peer Counselors meet every other Wednesday mornings at 9 am.

How many community service minutes are required each week?

Peer Counseling requires a minimum of 30 minutes of service each week. These can be met through tutoring, helping out with events on the quad, walkarounds, and many more opportunities!

How many service groups are there?

There are 3 different service groups: tutoring, awareness, and outreach. Check out the service groups tab for more information.

How can I apply to be a peer counselor?

Applications will opened early next year and close near the beginning of spring 2024! However, tutors are welcome year round so apply whenever! We encourage everyone to apply to have a chance to help your peers and get hours! You can apply through the Get Involved page!

What do peer counselors do during a club meeting?

A typical club meeting usually begins with a small breakfast provided by one of the color groups and is followed by announcements and event sign-ups. The bulk of the meeting is spent meeting in your service groups or listening to guest speakers.

Can I tutor even though I'm not a peer counselor?

Yes! Sign up to become a tutor through the Get Involved page.

Who can become peer counselors?

Applications for peer counselors are open to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors!
