Peer Counselors are dedicated to helping students through tutoring, conflict mediation, mentoring and awareness programs. We provide a strong connection between students on our campus and encourage students to make responsible decisions by being good listeners and communicators. Peer Counselors are also involved in numerous volunteer service projects connecting Westview with our community.
Inspiring one heart at a time.
PC's provide individual and small group tutoring in various subjects. Tutoring opportunities are offered throughout the day and after school. Students can be assigned or access help on a drop-in basis.
The mission of the peer mentor program is to bring together caring peer mentors to work with students who may need support and encouragement. Peer mentors encourage and help these students to achieve success in personal, academic, and social endeavors.
Outreach is involved in multiple events across campus. We’re responsible for reaching out to the students on campus to not only make sure they’re informed on the events being held, but also doing everything we can to ensure they’re truly getting the “Westview experience”.
PCs spread awareness about various topics including: suicide prevention, Red Ribbon Week, healthy relationships, and other topics relevant to our campus.
